  • What are 2-3 habits you see in successful freshmen football players have who crush it academically as well as on the field?
  • What’s the number one piece of advice you would have given yourself when you went through the recruiting process when you were my age?
  • I noticed your school is ranked X for X SUBJECT how do internships and alumni networking work here with the athletic department?
  • The key with questions is the specificity of reference, coaches know you are there for football but they want to know if you’re also there for books.
• Send a follow-up thank you letter handwritten as well as sending a thank you via email too along the lines of:

Coach, thanks so much for a great time visiting campus. I was really impressed with X, Y and Z. Looking forward to staying in touch and competing this summer. Respectfully, JOHN DOE.
