At some point you may want to visit a school where you are getting indirect or lukewarm responses from. So you may need to finesse your own visit in the following manner:

Coach, not sure if you might be around DATE/TIME but my family and I were going to be touring the campus and we’d love to stop by the office even just for a few minutes to say hello. Talk soon! CELL # FIRST NAME LAST NAME

Worst case scenario, if the coaching staff doesn’t get back to you, it never hurts to respectfully and politely knock on the door. Odds are there will be recruits in the office and coaches will be in “recruiting mode” anyway and won’t want to be rude in front of them. This is your chance to shake hands and say hi.
